Full Container Load (FCL) shipments clear customs faster because the container carries only one type of product. This means the entire container has the same HS code, the same tax rate, and the same inspection rules. Customs can process the documents quickly, which reduces delays and unnecessary checks. Mixed cargo (LCL or containers with many different product types) takes longer because each item must be checked separately. Different goods may have different HS codes, VAT rates, and inspection requirements. This usually leads to higher customs VAT, extra inspection fees, and longer waiting time at the port.
